MoveDanceLed by a professionally qualified dance teacher, Move 2 Dance offers dance classes to children from 18 months to school age. The progressive curriculum visits different genres of dance each term, like flamenco, the haka, cheerleading. Each week a different theme, including the weather, animals, toys, allows dance moves to be practised within familiar contexts. All exercises are specifically designed to give each child the skills to develop into recognised dance moves.
Come along and discover dance with your child. Help them to learn how their body can move and dance. Be part of the class as you join in with them to encourage and build their confidence.Dance helps develop a child's co-ordination, imagination and expression. Awareness of their body and how it moves is a key part of a child’s development. Self esteem and confidence are grown through fun classes where children learn from teacher, mum and peers.Young children benefit from experimenting with movement which is complemented and stimulated by sound and music. A child's imagination is developing rapidly and the use of music and props encourages their dancing in a fun and imaginative way.As a child grows they strive for independence and are rewarded by creating their own way of moving and dancing alongside recognised dance steps. After each class you can relax and enjoy 30 minutes of tea and chat whilst your little ones play.
